Gloucester, MA — Salted Cod Arthouse selects Artist Eser Costanza as “Artist of the Month” starting today, September 4, 2025. Eser’s new body of work reflects a deeply personal and unconventional journey into art. With a background in both Architecture and an MBA from MIT, followed by a long career in financial services, Costanza brings a rare blend of rational precision and creative exploration to their artistic practice.
“Architecture trained me in the visual arts within the boundaries of science, while the MBA immersed me in the rational world of numbers and facts,” says Costanza. “Through the years, what seemed like a dichotomy became a source of creative tension, guiding me toward a broader lens to understand the universe. That journey ultimately led me to art.”
Costanza’s work draws inspiration from nature, the cosmos, and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Rejecting rigid stylistic categories, Costanza focuses on capturing the extraordinary beauty of the ordinary — balancing simplicity with intricate detail, and emotional resonance with intellectual depth.
“Art has become a meditation for me, a source of calm and balance within a fast-moving, complex world,” Costanza explains. “My mission is simple: I hope my paintings add joy, hope, and beauty to everyday life.”
Costanza’s art is featured at The Salted Cod Arthouse and Wine Bar, 53 Rocky Neck Avenue, Gloucester, September 1 – 30, 2025. Open daily 11:30AM – 10:00PM.
