Explore the beauty of Gloucester’s historic harbor under sail aboard the Schooner Ardelle, a traditional 58’ Gloucester fishing schooner built, owned and operated by National Heritage Fellow, Master Shipwright Harold Burnham and his family.

A sail aboard the Schooner Ardelle is the perfect way to enjoy the surrounding beauty of Gloucester’s historic harbor and working waterfront.
Throughout the summer season, the Ardelle sets sail daily from Maritime Gloucester for 2-hour public sails. Join us aboard for an unforgettable morning, afternoon, or sunset sail. Help the crew in raise the sails, take a trick at the wheel with the captain, or simply sit back and enjoy the picturesque views of lighthouses and the calls of seabirds. A sail onboard the Ardelle is sure to be the highlight of your visit to Cape Ann.

We also offer a full calendar of special event sails including: Music Nights, Gloucester Harbor History Sails, FIreworks Cruises, Schooner Festival Parade of Sails, and full day Cape Ann Circumnavigation Sails. All of our tickets also include admission to Maritime Gloucester's exhibits and touch tank aquarium.
