In June Gloucester celebrates the patron saint of fishermen, St. Peter. Music is played every evening and on Sunday morning there is an open-air mass. Sunday afternoon is the blessing of the fishing fleet. A small carnival creates a festive experience. Sporting events are held each day, including the Greasy Pole and Seine Boat Races. This is a long-standing Gloucester tradition not to be missed- 91 years old!
