Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. 'Refusing to Pay'-Gloucester's Role in Building Religious Freedom in America. This three-part program was created for Gloucester's 400th Celebration to share the remarkable story of the Reverend John Murray, his Gloucester Universalists followers, and how they influenced the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
