The North Shore Arts Association invites the public to celebrate an exhibition of artworks by our very own Dave Drinon. On display from June 11 – June 24, Dave’s work encapsulates the beauty of New England, showcasing a variety of representational landscapes. The reception will be held on Saturday, June 15, from 1PM - 3PM in our Gordon Grant Room. Light fare and beverages will be provided. Free and open to the public!
Dave paints in the tradition of Boston and Cape Ann painters of the late 1800's and early 1900's. After deciding to pursue painting full-time, he studied studio painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire under the tutelage of Patrick McCay. He also studied with prominent Cape Ann painters Stapleton Kearns and David Curtis, as well as Boston and Nantucket painter Thomas R Dunlay. Dave maintains a north light studio at the Western Ave Studios in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The North Shore Arts Association is located at 11 Pirate’s Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930. For more information about events please call (978) 283-1857 or email arts@nsarts.org. Visiting hours are Monday – Saturday, 10AM – 5PM, and Sundays 12 – 4PM.
