In a concert showcasing two of the most successful pop songwriters of the modern era, the legendary Jimmy Webb teams up with Karla Bonoff for a night of pop classics written by the original composers. Jimmy Webb remains of one of the few modern songwriters to become a genuine superstar on his writing talents alone. His list of hits written for other performers include ''Up Up and Away'' (The 5th Dimension), ''Wichita Lineman'' (Glen Campbell), ''MacArthur Park'' (Donna Summer) and many more. Webb's recent CD's—2010's Just Across the River and 2013's Still Within the Sound of My Voice—are saturated with guest stars from Lyle Lovett to Billy Joel to Willie Nelson. Karla Bonoff also got her start as a songwriter, writing hits for Linda Ronstadt, Wynonna Judd and Bonnie Raitt before venturing out on her own. She scored a Top 20 hit with 1982's ''Personally.'' and had great success with movie soundtracks, landing songs in Footloose, About Last Night and others.
