This event is presented by the Gloucester Historical Commission recognizing outstanding cultural heritage preservation, restoration, and education projects. The Gloucester Historical Preservation Awards are designed to inspire others while recognizing contributions to Gloucester history and culture.
After a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gloucester Historical Commission’s Preservation Awards are back. The mission of the commission “is to preserve and protect Gloucester’s historical assets and develop public awareness and appreciation of Gloucester’s historic resources.” The GHC will present awards to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to preserving and restoring the History of Gloucester.
Members of the Gloucester Historical Commission are Lillian Olmsted, Susan Morreale, Ralph Pisaturo, Timothy Quinn, David Rhinelander and Robert Whitmarsh.
