Put on your winter coat and visit the Cape Ann Museum during February School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, February 20 – Thursday, February 22. On Friday, February 23 the Museum will have free admission for all visitors thanks to generous support from the Highland Street Foundation’s Winter Camp Initiative.

As part of Black History Month, activities for visitors of all ages will be set up throughout the Museum to share the Black Experience on Cape Ann. Arrange your own quilt inspired by Doris Prouty or take a look at The School Teacher by Lou Burnett and learn about the history of education for Black students. Explore the Folly Cove Designer’s Gallery and see sketches by Virginia Lee Burton for The Sad-Faced Boy.
