Epic in sound and kaleidoscopic in vision, Boston Music Award winning band “Entrain” is the eclectic Martha's Vineyard-based group that has been thrilling critics and fans alike for decades. Led by drummer/founder Tom Major and guitarist Brian Alex, their collective resume includes stints with such diverse players as Bo Diddley, Bob Weir, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Donna Summer, Missing Persons, Chuck Berry, Southside Johnny, and a one-time sit-in performance with President Bill Clinton.
Entrain shifts effortlessly between musical styles - from rock, blues, calypso and ska, to zydeco, jazz and funk - often within the same song. Their latest record "Reason To Feel Good" has enjoyed heavy rotation among numerous stations, including regular plays on Kenny Chesney’s “No Shoes Radio”. Entrain’s feel-good single "Lucky Just to Be Alive," was number 2 in WMVY radio’s top 25 songs, only behind superstar Adele.
The percussion heavy influence has been described by former Boston Globe music critic Steve Morse as “Enough drums to sink a battleship!”
