Description
Join TownGreen on May 8th for a Coastal R&R Event
Hosted by Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC), this event brings together Cape Ann and Gloucester residents to discuss coastal flooding and the different ways we can respond as individuals in a caring community.
Info: This event is offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We’ll provide food and financial compensation to attendees.
Together, we’ll:
- Share experiences and concerns about flooding impacts on our homes, infrastructure, and environment
- Talk about coastal relocation and how to do it effectively
- Collect your ideas for how state, city/town, and community leaders could develop tools and resources that best support vulnerable residents
- Prepare for extreme weather through training and connection with local services, volunteer opportunities, and nature projects
