Description

Civil Rights film, Alice’s Ordinary People

Alice’s Ordinary People explores the life and times of Alice Tregay (1929-2015), a civil rights leader based in Chicago who dedicated her life to social change and community service. Her fifty-plus years in political activism spanned the marches of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the election of Barack Obama—and it is the thousands of ordinary people she mentored, taught, or registered to vote who make up just part of her legacy.

Join us in celebrating this amazing woman’s life! A Q&A with filmmaker Craig Dudnick will follow.  This event is free and open to the public. Register at the Manchester–by-the-Sea Public Library by calling (978) 526-7711.
