Description

The Sawyer Free Library is pleased to host Antarctica: Lessons from the Bottom of the World by Environmental Attorney and Diver Michael Carvalho on Thursday, March 19 from 7-8:30 pm. The Cape Ann resident will share his experiences from a 2018 Expedition to Antarctica. The presentation will cover the history of Antarctica exploration, scuba diving with icebergs, seals, sea birds, whales, and penguins.  It will conclude with a discussion about the role of climate change and its impacts in both Antarctica and Cape Ann. The event is free and open to the public to attend.
