Understand, Approach & Respond:
Effective Interventions with Individuals with Alzheimer's Disease & Related Dementias. The training will provide 3 approved credits by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services for EMS personnel.

This no-cost training is designed to provide evidence-informed education to First Responders on understanding the impact that Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias may have on individuals and communities. This program has been developed specifically for First Responders. Strategies acquired from this training will provide an understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and practical strategies to optimize the effectiveness of responding during on-scene interactions with persons living with dementia and their families. Additionally, attendees will gain an understanding of available dementia-related resources.
